Cupping therapy encompasses two main forms: dry cupping and wet cupping, with wet cupping being commonly referred to as hijama.

Dry cupping involves placing cups on the skin, creating a suction effect to stimulate blood flow and promote healing. It is a non-invasive technique that helps relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce pain and inflammation.

Wet cupping, or hijama, is a more specialized form that involves a combination of suction and controlled bloodletting.
